Basque Country - Poland Business Forum

Welcome to the Basque Country - Poland Business Forum!

The Department of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability of the Basque Government, together with the Government of Poland, are delighted to present the Basque Country–Poland Forum 2025.
This event will bring together government representatives, regional entities, and companies from both countries, with the aim of strengthening economic and industrial relations and promoting new opportunities for bilateral cooperation.

The Forum will feature the participation of high-level Polish authorities, including Mr. Andrzej Domański, Minister of Economy and Finance; Mr. Olgierd Geblewicz, President of the West Pomerania Region; H.E. Ms. Monika Krzepkowska, Ambassador of Poland to Spain; and Mr. Andrzej Dycha, President of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), together with institutional and business representatives from the Basque Country.

Economic relations between the Basque Country and Poland have deepened in recent years. Poland has established itself as one of Europe’s most dynamic and resilient economies, with sustained growth over the past decade and a strong capacity to attract industrial investment. It has also become an increasingly significant trading partner for the Basque Country: according to Eustat data, Poland ranks among the top ten destinations for Basque exports, particularly in sectors such as automotive, mechanical and electrical equipment, and advanced manufacturing. Moreover, 40 Basque companies currently operate 64 facilities in Poland —28 industrial and 36 commercial— primarily in the automotive, advanced technologies, construction, and energy sectors.

The Basque Country–Poland Forum reaffirms the Basque Country’s commitment to a Europe that is industrially strong, energy-sustainable, and strategically autonomous, fostering dialogue between institutions and companies to open new pathways for collaboration and investment between both territories.

Expert speakers will share strategic insights and best practices on 3 key industrial areas of cooperation between the Basque Country and Poland, fostering new ideas and approaches that will enable participants to gain new perspectives, explore potential business opportunities, and identify areas for collaboration.

The Forum will also host a B2B matchmaking session, offering companies from both the Basque Country and Poland the opportunity to meet their counterparts, exchange information, and explore potential areas of cooperation.

In addition, a networking cocktail will be hosted to encourage informal exchanges among participants, with refreshments and hors d’oeuvres being served.
