Dr. Pramod Kumar, M.Phil in Physics and Ph.D. in Laser Technology, is the Principal Scientist and Research Team Leader at QuantLase Imaging Laboratory, Abu Dhabi. He is renowned for his development of the innovative Laser-based DPI technology, which revolutionizes COVID-19 detection by enabling rapid screening of tiny blood samples. Dr. Kumar's career spans prestigious institutions and roles, including Senior Experimental Research Scientist at AiFi Technologies, Senior Laser Research Staff at University College Cork, Tyndall National Institute, and Disordered Photonics Research Fellow at the University of Exeter. With a strong academic foundation from IIT Roorkee, IIT Bombay, and Jawaharlal Nehru University, Dr. Kumar has held post-doctoral positions in France and India, and contributed to the field through invited lectures at top universities and professional societies. He is an active member of several scientific organizations, including the Optical Society of America and IEEE.
