Our exploration of neural computation aims to develop Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), integrating insights from both human cognition and digital twins like the Metaverse to revolutionize cognitive modeling and AI-driven intelligence. In autonomous systems, we are pushing the envelope with interactive robotics for transparent human-AI collaboration, leveraging 5G/6G technologies for connected, human-centered vehicles, and developing AI-powered drones capable of performing intelligent tasks in extreme environments. About me

Dr. Richard Jiang is an Associate Professor in the School of Computing and Communications at Lancaster University, UK. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and a Member of the EPSRC Peer Review College. His research focuses on a range of topics around Novel Computing, including Neural Computing, Ethical AI, Privacy Computing, Quantum Machine Learning, Natural Computing, and Environmental Computing.

Dr. Jiang's research has been supported by grants from EPSRC, Leverhulme Trust, and other industry and international funds, involving over £1 million in research funding. He has supervised and co-supervised over 20 PhD researchers, including 10 who have successfully completed their PhDs. Additionally, Dr. Jiang has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and served as the editor of several books and special issues. He actively contributes to the academic community by serving on Program Committees, Editorial Boards, and as a reviewer for various international conferences and research journals.
