Compact Syngas Solutions

Power/Energy Company

Deeside, North Wales, United Kingdom

Compact Syngas Solutions (CSS) are a UK based waste to energy technology provider. We have developed a modular gasification technology (Micro-Hub) for the production of hydrogen, power, heat, and carbon credits. Our latest product, the MicroH2-Hub has a small footprint, can be located on-site, produces 35kg of hydrogen/hour plus 500kWe of power from 10,000 tonne of Solid-Recovered-Fuel (SRF) per annum. The hydrogen is separated from syngas using our patented gasifier and inhouse developed Pressure Swing Absorption system. CSS brings together an integrated solution, from the production of syngas, hydrogen, heat & power, hydrogen storage and dispensing and carbon capture/credits. We support small-scale and off-grid locations benefiting a range of industries with localised, on-site production. Our products can scale as demand grows and feed into the grid once a network infra structure is in place. Our system uses downdraft gasification technology, which is one of the cleanest and most efficient methods of converting biomass and waste into valuable synthesis gas (syngas), capable of directly fuelling gas reciprocating engines to generate heat and power (CHP) Adding our seven stages of syngas cleaning and cooling ensures that our syngas is of the highest quality. In fact, the syngas produced has been proven and accredited to be cleaner than natural gas. This makes it one of the purest fuels available for generating power. An additional output from our gasification plant is Biochar which can contribute to environmental restoration, carbon removal, soil regeneration, and the circularity of industrial and agricultural systems. Our Micro-Hub solution utilises a range of feedstocks and supports sustainability, decarbonisation and net zero goals for environmentally conscious organisations. CSS's target markets include industrial, transport and waste management companies with high energy demands and those with access to waste/biomass feedstocks. CSS are ready for commercialisation and are currently engaging with investors & developers.
