CEA

Established as a French national public body in 1945, CEA has become since then a global player in scientific and technological research and one of the leading Research and Technology Organizations in Europe. CEA operates in research, development and innovation in four main areas: low carbon energies (nuclear and renewables), digital technology, technological research for industries, defense and security. CEA runs 10 research centers and 6 regional technological platforms, hiring over 20,000 people in France. Its core missions are to identify, develop and maturate Key Enabling Technologies from Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 3 to TRLs 5-7 through public-private partnerships.
