Recycling of LIA after their degradation
Deputy Director for Scientific and Scientific-Organizational Issues at V. I. Vernadsky Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry
Kyiv, Ukraine
About
We have developed a technology for recovery LFP batteries after their degradation using carboxylic acids. In the process of recovery, it is possible to obtain various lithium salts (including lithium carbonate), iron phosphate and graphite, and also to use the obtained reagents for the repeated synthesis of LiFePO4/C. Research is currently underway to adapt the obtained technology to other types of batteries (for example: NCM and NCA).
