Project Overview: maxAh LFP

The maxAh LFP project focuses on developing and implementing an innovative and eco-friendly technology for recycling unserviceable lithium-ion batteries. The result is premium-quality anode and cathode materials, ready for reuse in the production of new batteries. The project prioritizes environmental sustainability at every step and ensures the highest quality of recovered materials.

Team and Expertise: The project is led by a team of experts: Serhiy Dubinevych, CEO and Co-founder, Vіacheslav Zinin, CTO and Co-founder. The development process also involves active participation from scientists at the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry in Kyiv and the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology in Dnipro. Technological Innovation: maxAh’s process stands apart from traditional recycling methods by using cyclic carbonic acid extraction, which allows precise recovery of all materials while minimizing process complexity. This innovative approach reduces the number of transformation steps and ensures efficient operation.

The technology has been tested successfully on LFP batteries and is adaptable to raw materials of varying quality. Outputs include: High-purity graphite, Reclaimed lithium iron phosphate cathodes, Optional production of pure lithium carbonate or organic lithium salts.

Achievements and Patents: The project has already achieved significant milestones: Secured a Ukrainian utility model patent. Submitted patent applications for the core invention.

Environmental Focus: All reagents used in the process are environmentally safe, cost-effective, and readily available, supporting a sustainable recycling model.
