Foreign rights meeting in Valencia

Salón del Cómic de València 2024 Foreign rights meeting for publishers in Valencia The Valencia Comic Fair has become one of the most popular comic events today thanks, not only to the public success achieved, but also to the respectful position that the event has reserved for comics, in general, and Valencian comics, in particular. In this sense, the center of gravity of the Fair will continue to be comics, especially Valencian. And, in addition, the content of the Fair is growing with proposals in its different thematic areas such as the Asia Zone, Cosplay, Joc&Roll by the IVAJ, Series and more, Artis Alley or Kids & Comics, among many other activities related to the visual arts. The collaboration between AEPV, IVACE and Fira València completes the most international edition of the Salón del Cómic with the celebration of the Rights Market on 1 March. This rights market will be attended by 10 publishers from France, Portugal, Italy, Poland, Denmark and the United States. The event will be held in the hall of the Fira València conference room and the space will be dedicated to professional meetings between international publishers and Valencian publishers. All other publishers exhibiting at the fair who wish to participate in the Rights Market can also register without any problem. In collaboration with APIV, Friday afternoon will be dedicated to the review of portfolios and works of Valencian authors by the publishers participating in the event. The Rights Market meeting is a great opportunity for publishers to get to know the valencian market and generate businesses and synergies between publishers from the different countries. The aim of this meeting is to support the small publishers with high quality products and help them export their products through the sale of the translation rights and set up collaboration agreements. The match-making event at Salón del Cómic brings together publishers from different countries. This is a great opportunity to generate new business contacts and contracts. Meetings will take place in a dedicated area and will be arranged in advance by means of this website.
