We are a non-profit association, which has a history of more than 20 years in the cleaning and hygiene sector.

At ASFEL we believe that Spanish companies need help to consolidate and grow. For this reason, we accompany them at every stage of their internationalization.

We are the official entity in Spain for the promotion of the Spanish cleaning and hygiene industry.

The hygiene and industrial cleaning sector in Spain represents a business of 8,224 million euros during 2022. It employs 19,671 people in 352 companies established throughout the territory. The sector accounts for 0.6% of GDP in Spain and approximately 3.0% of industrial GDP.

This is reflected in the study of the hygiene and industrial cleaning sector in Spain and the Valencian Community presented to Asfel associates on October 31, prepared by the Aidimme technological institute.

At the level of foreign trade, Spain has shown robust growth in the value of its exports in the sector between January and November 2023, experiencing an increase of 14.08% compared to the same period in 2022.

This significant increase led exports to reach the figure of 1,131 million euros in that period. These positive data underline the strength and competitiveness of the professional cleaning and hygiene industry in the international market. Contrasting with the export figure, the sector's imports grew only 1.85%.
