More about the Aerospace sector in Wallonia

The aeronautics and space sector occupies a key position in the Wallonia economy and constitutes one of its major assets for the future. 

Wallonia is the region in Belgium with the largest number of companies working in the aeronautics industry. It represents a turnover of more than 1.75 billion (90% of which is from exports) and 7,500 direct jobs.

This ecosystem includes:

    • Major enterprises like Safran Aero Boosters, SABCA, Sonaca and Thales

  • Recognised know-how:

    • Galaxia, the business park dedicated to applications and innovation connected to space. Galaxia Business Park hosts the logistics center dedicated to the European navigation program Galileo satellite, the European satellite navigation system
