Welcome to the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership – 2nd Call - Brokerage event!
The matchmaking event is organised by the Joint Call Secretariat of the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership and has the ambition to connect researchers, companies and stakeholders from marine and maritime communities interested in the Partnership's second transnational Call.
The 2024 Joint Call is the second Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership call and it is entitled: “Unified Paths to a Climate-Neutral, Sustainable, and Resilient Blue Economy: Engaging Civil Society, Academia, Policy, and Industry”.
Research and innovation proposals submitted under the SBEP 2024 Joint Transnational Call are required to address one of the following priority areas:

Digital Twins of the Oceans (DTO) at regional sub basin scale

Blue economy sectors, development of marine multi-use infrastructures

Planning and managing sea-uses at the regional level

Blue Bioresources
The budget to implement the Joint Transnational Call for research and innovation projects is about 40 M€, including the contribution of the European Commission. The 26 countries participating to the call are: Belgium, Brazil, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, Tunisia, and Türkiye.
To help you finding a project to join, or partners for your project, you have the possibility to set up 20 minutes meetings with other participants during the matchmaking sessions of the event. Ten sessions of two hours will be organised from Monday 26th of February to Friday 8th of March. Sessions are scheduled between 10am and 12am or 2pm and 4pm CET. Co-branding of the call
This call is co-branded as part of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development, which is coordinated by UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC/UNESCO) on behalf of the UN system, with the aim that the funded research and innovation projects are endorsed as Ocean Decade projects.
