Urban hub for social and environmental impact

Postane is an urban hub for impact-driven work and collaborative cultural production, based in the historic Galata neighborhood of Istanbul. Located in the renovated British Post Office building, it develops innovative economic models and cultural programs to address social, environmental, and urban challenges. The space features a rooftop garden where fruits, vegetables, and herbs grow; a solidarity-based kitchen and cafeteria; a fair trade unit connecting consumers with local producers and social enterprises; open office spaces; a specialized library; a podcast and video studio; and a multipurpose hall for public and private events. Postane is a proud member of the Bertha Spaces network, which fosters activist spaces under the principle of "radical hospitality," and the Allianz Foundation Hubs network, which supports civil society, arts & culture, and climate justice initiatives across Europe and the Mediterranean. Postane is developed and operated by the social enterprise Bak Postacı.
