I am an avid sailor, with a corporate background, and company restructuring experience. I founded Composite Recycling with my friend and scientist Pascal Gallo.
Problem: Composites are designed to be durable, not recyclable.
Fibre-Reinforced Plastics (FRP) are widely used because they are so versatile, light and cheap. But until recently, the only methods of disposal were landfilling or incineration, with the resultant environmental impact.
Solution: Make FRP recycling a reality
At Composite Recycling, we have developed a breakthrough new recycling technology that preserves the properties of the reclaimed oil and fibres, so that they can be used for producing high-quality, high-performance new composites and decarbonized plastics.
Having grown up by the Mediterranean Sea, I have always been an avid sailor, enjoying both competitive sailing and holiday trips with his children and wife on the family sailboat.
After studying business administration in Europe, the US and Japan, I joined the Ford Motor Company where I held positions in Sales, Finance, Marketing and Business Development in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific, managing teams globally. He then founded his own consulting firms, first in New Caledonia and then in Switzerland, with a focus on business development and restructuring businesses across a variety of industries, including cleantech and waste management.
My passion for sailing, my extensive network in the nautical industry, and my awareness of the lack of viable fiberglass recycling solutions for end-of-life sailboats led me to co-found Composite Recycling in 2021.
