We cultivate on agricultural land as in between crop, restoring soil quality and increasing crop yields. Moreover, we cultivate on polluted land (e.g. PFAS), where we phytoremediate soils to become usable again, and on degraded land which we make available again for agricultural or other purposes. We create biobased, circular and sustainable (construction) materials, to ignite the transition to a biobased economy. We aim to make the construction sector a hige carbon-sink, whereas now it is responsable for 40% of emissions. Examples of products are hemp insulation, hemp wood, sandwich panels, cladding and biocomposites. Finally, we monitor the CO2 sequestration by the hemp using satellites and AI-models to provide the most transparent carbon credits. This is done by our spun-out company Earth+ We control the industrial hemp value chain, bridging the gap between supply and demand. Only in this way, scaling of the industrial hemp industry is possible.

Regenerating water and soils from forever chemicals: technologies for PFAS decontamination

Format:Video conferencingTrack:Pitching session

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are chemicals that have been used in many consumer products since the 1950s. As PFAS do not degrade, they accumulate within nature and within our bodies, causing problems for environment and health.
