Atelier Riforma is an Italian innovative social startup, with the mission of reducing the environmental impact of the fashion industry, by promoting its transition towards a more circular model.
It is complex to efficiently convey (pre- and post-consumer) textile waste to circular processes, infact to date 87% of it ends up in landfills, mostly exported to developing countries.
The two co-founders started in 2019 with a social project on upcycling discarded clothing and, since 2021, they have given a technological breakthrough to the startup, designing and patenting Re4Circular.
Re4Circular is an innovative technology that helps any entity who has deadstock or used textiles to direct each item towards the best form of recovery (e.g. reuse, recycling, upcycling, etc.), according to its characteristics and conditions.
It is composed by an AI-based classification and digitization technology and a digital platform linked to the circular fashion world (and not only!) that allows to maximize the residual value of any material, making B2B supply and demand meet efficiently.
In this session, we explore innovative solutions that can boost the EU textile Industry to sustainability through Digital Passport, Reuse of textiles and Artificial Intelligence implementation tools.
