Indymo uses aquatic drones to capture underwater images, collect samples, and provide 3D data on water quality, aiding public and private water monitoring.
Rui Lima is the General Manager of Indymo BV, a Dutch startup specializing in innovative water management solutions using aquatic drones. He is also a researcher at Hanze University of Applied Sciences. He holds an MSc in Civil Engineering with a focus on Hydraulics, Water Resources, and Environment from the University of Coimbra, Portugal. Before joining Indymo in 2015, Rui conducted research at Deltasync and a Portuguese water authority. He is currently pursuing a PhD on innovative monitoring methods, concentrating on dynamic monitoring of water quality and ecology through underwater drones equipped with sensors and cameras. Rui has led numerous water quality measurement campaigns across the Netherlands and internationally, publishing his findings in various journals and conferences.
