Welcome to Flanders Vaccine Symposium: Innovations in Cancer Vaccines

The upcoming Flanders Vaccine Symposium 2025 is a distinguished gathering focused on pioneering research and groundbreaking developments in Cancer Vaccines for both human and veterinary medicine.

Join us on May 22nd in the vibrant city of Antwerp for this pivotal event, providing a unique platform for experts from academia and industry to exchange knowledge and discuss the most recent progress in the field.

Key discussions will focus on innovative strategies, key translational challenges, and the impact of clinical outcomes. Topics include dendritic cell-based vaccines, antigen discovery, mRNA vaccine technologies, advancements in manufacturing techniques, and cancer vaccine applications. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with leading scientists, gain insights into cutting-edge research, and foster collaborations that drive the future of cancer immunotherapy.

Thanks to our B2Match networking tool you can pre-book online meetings with the event participants. These 10 minutes meetings will take place on the day of the event during the reception.

Join us for this unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge research and contribute to the evolving landscape of cancer vaccine development.

PROGRAMME

We will kick off the symposium with a 'Setting the Scene' opening presentation by Jo Van Ginderachter, Professor of Immunology at Vrije Universiteit Brussel & Group Leader at VIB-VUB.

This will be followed by two engaging sessions featuring a series of short talks. In the first session, three distinguished academic speakers will present their research on dendritic cell-based vaccines, single-cell technologies, tumor antigen discovery, manufacturing challenges, and clinical development outcomes.

The second session will showcase innovative results and technologies from leading companies in the field of cancer vaccines, with applications in the human and veterinary field.

Topics that will be addressed during the symposium:

  • Single-cell analysis techniques enhancing tumor antigen landscape understanding

  • GMP manufacturing solutions for small-batch and personalized cancer vaccines

  • Advanced dendritic cell-based vaccination approaches for complex tumors or treatment-resistant cancers

  • Novel neoantigen discovery pipelines and shared tumor antigens

  • Innovative immunotherapies targeting persistent viral infections with oncogenic potential

  • Non-invasive cancer treatment approaches in veterinary medicine
