Symposium: Vaccine Delivery and Immune Response
Welcome to Flanders Vaccine Symposium: Vaccine Delivery and Immune Response
Flanders Vaccine is delighted to invite you to an exclusive symposium dedicated to groundbreaking research and innovations in vaccine delivery and immune response. Join us on September 17th in the vibrant city of Antwerp for this pivotal event.
This event will convene researchers and industry experts to discuss innovative approaches and critical considerations in vaccine formulation and administration.
Key discussions will delve into the impact of various vaccine formulations and delivery routes on immune responses and the necessity of tailoring administration routes, such as intradermal, mucosal, intramuscular, and more to achieve optimal outcomes for the prevention of disease and/or its transmission.
Participants will discover how different delivery methods can be strategically selected based on knowledge about the infection routes of target pathogens, enhancing the efficacy and specificity of immunization efforts. The symposium may also address the importance of adjuvant selection and the role of advanced technologies like lipid nanoparticles in vaccine formulation.
Furthermore, we will examine how latest advancements in vaccine delivery and the potential of alternative administration routes, such as oral vaccines, can revolutionize public health strategies and (pandemic) vaccination programs.
Thanks to our networking tool, you can prebook online meetings with the event participants. These meetings will be held on the day of the event during the reception. You’ll have 10 minutes to introduce yourself and explore potential collaborations.
Join us for this unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge research and contribute to the evolving landscape of vaccine development and immune response optimization.
PROGRAMME
We will kick off the symposium with a 'Setting the Scene' opening presentation: Exploring Delivery Routes: Impact on Immune Response, Challenges, and Emerging Trends.
This will be followed by two engaging sessions featuring a series of short talks. In the first session, three distinguished academic speakers will present their research on mucosal vaccines, RNA vaccine delivery, and other related topics.
The second session will showcase innovative results and technologies from leading companies in the field of vaccine delivery, with applications in vaccination and immunotherapy.
Topics that will be addressed during the symposium:
-
Aligning the vaccination route with the desired immune response
-
Choosing the vaccination route based on the pathogen’s infection route
-
Immune response for different vaccination routes: intravenous, intramuscular, intraperitoneal, oral, nasal, pulmonary, intradermal,…
-
Selecting adjuvants based on the vaccination route and lipid nanoparticles (LNPs)
-
Choosing the vector/vaccine platform based on the vaccination route
-
Devices for different vaccination routes
