We’re an industrial tech startup building compact, AI-powered manufacturing machines that enable companies to establish in-house production — without the need for specialized staff. This unlocks true supply chain independence and accelerates R&D by bringing manufacturing capabilities directly to where innovation happens.
To achieve that, we’re rethinking machining technology from the ground up: simplifying setup and operation to the point where using our machines feels more like running a 3D printer than a traditional CNC system. Hardware and software are seamlessly integrated to deliver a plug-and-produce experience.
I’m Marcus, Co-Founder and CEO of LBR Manufacturing. I’m not the one building circuit boards or writing machine code - my passion is building companies. Bringing people together, setting a clear vision, and creating something real from nothing. That’s what drives me.
My journey started early on. While studying engineering, I joined the Formula Student team in Braunschweig - and quickly took over a leadership role. Nowhere else can you get such hands-on experience in team building, product development, and startup spirit. That’s also where I met my co-founder. We’ve been building ever since.
In 2023, we founded LBR Manufacturing with one goal: to unlock manufacturing for everyone - not just for the big players with deep pockets and entire engineering departments. Our super-compact, AI-powered manufacturing machines enable companies to set up their own in-house production, without needing specialists. No complex integration. No steep learning curves. Just plug and produce.
By early 2024, we had our first concept machine live and on display at HANNOVER MESSE, representing Lower Saxony. The response was massive — it validated our idea and pushed us to go all-in. We joined the W.IN Startup Incubator, landed first customers, and by the end of the year, we were generating revenue with real parts and real machines. The Braunschweig Startup Award was the cherry on top.
Now, heading into HANNOVER MESSE 2025, we’re presenting our pre-series machine - ready to enter the market in the near future.
We’re here to make manufacturing radically more accessible. And we’re just getting started.
