Jeroen van der Werf

At VDL ETS I’m the manager smart mobility. I’m a team player with passion in innovation. With a master degree “Technology and innovation” from the Technical university of Eindhoven and a background in automotive and infrastructure, I use my skills to stimulate the business development in smart mobility. I’m responsible for collecting knowledge and information on future developments as well-as translating the developments towards business goals for our organization.

After 5 years of working in the railway domain at ProRail, the last 10 years I was focused on the developments for road vehicles at Altran, Capgemini and VDL ETS.

I managed projects for proof of concepts on connected and automated vehicles, for both the OEM’s as for the infrastructure operators. Some of most interesting projects I managed are: the development of a concept for an automated shuttle, development of a vehicle system for connected (V2X) use cases), organization of a proof-of-concept for cooperative mobility in Asia.
