About

Monferace, the ancient name of Monferrato, has become a wine, a grignolino of excellence, which expresses all its elegance and nobility only after a long period of refinement. In every sip you can find its rebellious character, never banal, and all the obstinacy of the Monferrato farming world.

The precious grapes, harvested in the first week of October, undergo a prolonged maceration. After fermentation and a few months in stainless steel barrels, the Monferace is aged for 24 months in French oak tonneaux and completes this process with an equal number of months in the bottle before being commercialized.

Light ruby red in colour with orange reflections, the nose offers notes of wild berries, geranium and dog rose in evolution.

On the palate, it displays an unexpected body, with tannins and spicy notes in great balance. A meditation wine par excellence, it also pairs perfectly with cured meats, red meat dishes and medium to long matured cheeses.
