Ukrainian Refugee Response

We have implmented local regional and national programmes to assist and support Ukrainian refugees. These include the establishment and support to aid distribution points and the creation of a regional "Refugee Support Centre". Some of our achievements including putting 20+ Ukrainians into vocational and social integration programmes. We have created centres for pre school education, a summer school programmes as well as an educational and psychological support programme for around 230 Ukrainian Children in our local schools. We had a "Rock for Ukraine" project which created interactive musical events for Ukrainian children in 15 locations across Poland and involved more than 1500 children. We are providing language training in Polish to level B1 to 150 Ukrainian adult students We have an international "Wool for Ukraine" programmes which provides therapy through wool crafting active in 5 European Countries (Poland, Ukraine, Germany, Norway and Iceland) as well as the USA.

Additonally we are the leader in the "Act Locally" programme that links 18 other community foundations and where we provide small grants, coordinating activities and providing mentoring and training across Poland. The main goal of the Act Locally Program is to support and activate local communities in rural areas and small towns through civic projects that stimulate development aspirations and improve the quality of life and contribute to building social capital.

We are also an active part of the European Community Foundation Initaitive.
