Partnering for Enhanced Integration and Mental Health Support for Ukrainian Refugees
About
At Hug, our commitment to supporting Ukrainian refugees has been unwavering over the past two years. Our multifaceted approach to aid, from immediate relief to long-term integration into Swedish society, underscores our dedication to the well-being of those affected by the war in Ukraine. With projects ranging from labor market integration to mental health support, we're at the forefront of providing comprehensive assistance.
We've developed a robust framework for assistance through initiatives like the ESF-funded project Empower UA [CareConnectWithUkraine, Better You&Me, Mriya], support centers for kids [Huggis] and youth [Unity]. Whether it’s guiding young Ukrainians towards educational and job market opportunities, offering mental health support, or providing a nurturing environment for children, our efforts are tailored to address the multifaceted challenges faced by refugees.
Acknowledging the critical correlation between mental health and successful job market integration, we are now undertaking preliminary research to further this understanding. This effort aims to refine our support strategies, ensuring that they are evidence-based and tailored to the real needs of the Ukrainian community in Sweden.
To amplify our impact, Hug seeks to forge international partnerships under the ESF+ SI+ initiative call. We believe that collaboration with like-minded organizations can enhance our capacity to provide targeted support, share best practices, and innovate our approach to integration and mental health services for Ukrainian refugees.
We are looking for partners who share our commitment to helping Ukrainians fleeing the war, particularly those with expertise in mental health support, labor market integration, and educational programs. Ideal partners would be organizations looking to collaborate on projects that aim to improve the lives of displaced Ukrainians through sustainable, community-driven solutions.
