At Hug (Help Ukraine Gothenburg), we are dedicated to delivering comprehensive support to those affected by the war in Ukraine.

Our mission involves immediate relief through medical and humanitarian aid to Ukraine and long-term support, particularly in helping Ukrainian refugees integrate into Swedish society. We believe in the power of community and solidarity, striving to bring hope and resilience to those we serve.

In Sweden, we are running several main activities:

1. "Empower UA" project, funded by ESF and encompassing:

   • CareConnectWithUkraine, where we work towards building bridges between companies and Ukrainian individuals. Our focus is to offer guidance on labor market opportunities, education, and integration activities.

   • Better You&Me, a mental health support space, aims to provide a variety of resources and support to promote refugees' integration and psychological well-being through individual coaching, group counselling and psycho-education.

   • Mriya, a supportive project dedicated to young Ukrainians, aged 16-23, living in Sweden. We offer a nurturing environment where we provide internships, guide through job-seeking processes, and assist with higher education admissions.

2. Huggis, a welcoming center for children aged 2-7, offering vital child care support to parents seeking education, employment, or respite. We provide a nurturing environment where children can engage in activities while awaiting state-preschool placements.

3. Unity, a center where children and young people between the ages of 6-24 can explore music. We offer the opportunity to learn how to play instruments, start a music band, and produce music.
