Elisabeth Pfingstl

The Austrian family business Schiebel was founded in Vienna in 1951. In the mid-1980s, the company focussed on the development and production of high-tech mine detectors, which made Schiebel the world market leader - not least thanks to a major contract from the US Army. In the mid-1990s, the company pioneered the development and production of unmanned helicopters and has successfully extended its image as world market leader to this sector with the high-tech CAMCOPTER® S-100 aircraft. The Schiebel Group has its headquarters in Vienna and production facilities in Wiener Neustadt and Abu Dhabi. Further offices are located in Australia and the USA.

In 2018, Schiebel was honoured with the Gold Export Award of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce. The CAMCOPTER® S-100 has already received several awards for its special design. It has been on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York since 2005.
