Stephanie Emond

Immersed in the world of spas since her childhood, a yogi, and passionate about hospitality, wellness, and the art of living, Stéphanie holds a degree in marketing and design from the University of Barcelona, where she lived for five years. Inspired by numerous travels around the globe, she founded BALNEA spa + thermal reserve from scratch, in the heart of a 400-acre wild estate in Bromont. Through her visionary talents, ability to bring people together, and undeniable creative strength, Stéphanie revolutionized the spa industry in Canada, quickly establishing her business as the country's benchmark. Awarded multiple prizes, the company now has a team of over 150 people and has expanded into various brands, such as the gastronomic event “L'Été des chefs” and BALNEA SPA VOYAGE at Montreal Trudeau Airport. In 2013, she founded the gourmet restaurant LUMAMI in Bromont, which received 5 stars in its first year of operation from the newspaper Le Devoir.

In 2021, Stéphanie sold BALNEA and founded beMONDO, a collective of talents offering consulting in real estate, resorts, hospitality, and retail, as well as advising public figures on their brand image. Among her clients are Four Seasons, Carbonleo, Manoir Hovey, Relais & Châteaux, and Place Ville Marie in Canada, as well as Distrito Panamera in Mexico.

In 2023, Stéphanie partnered up with her family in the development of Bota Bota spa-sur-l’eau, the family business, a world-renowned floating spa in the Old Port of Montréal, and one of the most important and innovative spas in Canada. She also organizes wellness retreats, particularly in Mexico, Panama, and Quebec.

Many times recognized for her innovative achievements, Stéphanie Emond is a Quebec entrepreneur who has carved out a niche in the worlds of wellness, design, and creative experience. She was one of the five finalists for the Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2018, organized by Veuve Clicquot. Highly socially involved, she volunteers with the Fondation de l’Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and mentors entrepreneurs.
