When you’re managing event details, we know how important precision is. That’s why we’ve introduced a new custom question type, Date, designed to make gathering date-related information effortless, consistent, and stress-free.

Whether it’s a participant’s date of birth, a passport expiry date, or any other time-sensitive detail, this feature ensures you collect the data you need in a unified format.

How does it work?

Creating a Date custom question is as straightforward as creating any custom question. Just head over to Configurations and select Custom Questions. Then, choose the Date question type from the dropdown, and customize it to fit your needs.

You can choose whether the question is mandatory or optional, and decide if the answers will be visible on attendee profiles or kept private.

Why does it matter?

Previously, organizers used text fields to gather date-related information from their participants, only to face inconsistencies in formatting, as some would answer with: "June 4, 2022," "04.06.2022," or even "2022/04/06." These variations led to messy data exports and hours of manual adjustments.

With the Date question type, all dates are automatically saved in a standardized year-month-day format (e.g., 2022-04-06). This means you can export clean, organized data every time, without the extra work.
