From start to finish, our innovative event management solution was instrumental in creating an awe-inspiring brokerage event for Innovative Health Initiative that generated sustained interest from attendees, even after the event concluded.
The event organizer, Innovative Health Initiative, is a public-private partnership between the European Union and the European life science industries. The IHI's core goals are to translate health research and innovation into tangible benefits for patients and society and ensure that Europe remains at the cutting edge of interdisciplinary, sustainable, patient-centric health research.
The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) hosted a successful kick-off and brokerage event, which aimed to provide potential applicants with the information they need to put together a strong proposal and give them the opportunity to identify and meet partners for their consortia. With 1671 total participants from 53 countries, 94% of whom participated in matchmaking, the event was a massive success. With this event, the IHI aimed to further this mission by bringing together diverse stakeholders and facilitating collaboration and innovation in the healthcare sector.
The participants were divided into different groups, including consortium leaders and potential partners, which made it easier for them to identify and meet potential consortium partners during the brokerage meetings, pitching sessions, and informal networking opportunities such as lunch and coffee breaks. In addition to the successful matchmaking and networking opportunities, the IHI Kick-off and brokerage event also featured informative sessions and workshops that provided potential applicants with key insights into the application process, as well as tips and tricks for putting together a strong proposal.
The event was hosted on the b2match event networking platform, which provided a seamless user experience for all participants. The platform allowed participants to create detailed profiles that showcased their expertise and interests, making it easier for potential partners to identify and connect with them.
One of the challenges, that the organizer experienced was to make the opportunities easily searchable via the b2match matchmaking platform according to a very specific criterion. Fortunately, we were able to help by adjusting the marketplace form to their needs, with custom development, making it easier for participants to navigate and identify opportunities.
What made this event special was that it ended in June, but the registration was prolonged until September 20. As a result, 175 more registrants joined the event. The event also saw 614 successful 1:1 meetings, which helped participants identify and connect with potential partners, and hopefully, translate health research and innovation into tangible benefits for patients and society.
The event was well-received by participants and organizers alike, with many praising the high level of organization and the quality of the matchmaking and networking opportunities. Participants appreciated the chance to connect with like-minded individuals and potential partners, as well as the opportunity to learn more about the application process and gain valuable insights into the healthcare sector.
Overall, the IHI Kick-off and brokerage event was a resounding success, showcasing the power of collaboration and innovation in driving progress in the healthcare industry. By providing an event matchmaking platform for diverse stakeholders to come together and share their knowledge and expertise, the event has helped to pave the way for a brighter, more innovative future in healthcare.
