In this keynote address, Marina explores the current capabilities of Linguistic AI, drawing on practical research and real-world applications. She identifies areas where AI can achieve human-level performance and those where it still faces challenges, highlighting the complementary relationship between human linguists and AI. In doing so, Marina addresses the concerns about the future of linguists in a world increasingly dominated by AI, advocating for a human-in-the-cockpit model as the next evolution stage of the "human-in-the-loop" approach.
