- Industry
- Training
Given the political momentum around enlargement – also in light of the political guidelines for the new Commission – this panel will look into translation capacity building in candidate countries. These countries have to translate the body of EU law (acquis) as a necessary step in their journey towards EU accession. How are they building their capacity? What training is needed? How can universities help? Is this changing the landscape of the language industry? How have previous enlargements changed the landscape of the language industry in the relevant countries? What opportunities for the language industry in the EU and beyond?
