Ancien lead dev et game designer de Dead Cells, Sébastien Benard a choisi de se lancer dans une toute nouvelle aventure, en créant Deepnight Games en 2020. D'abord, avec Nuclear Blaze (2021, platformer pompier), puis avec Project Rogue-fu (TBA!).
Mon organisation
Deepnight Games is a one-man independent game studio founded by me, Sébastien Benard, in 2020. I was Dead Cells lead dev and game-designer and a former Motion Twin associate.
I’ve been making games since I was a kid, back in the Atari ST days, and Deepnight Games is a new opportunity for me to create ambitious 2D titles while keeping the signature quality of my previous games: unique game mechanics combined with highly polished game-feel.
My goal is obviously to create cool games, but also released and supports dedicated tools to help other game devs out there: LDtk, a powerful 2D level editor, and GameBase, a tiny framework to create games in Haxe language.
