world-leading test-infrastructure for green maritime energy-applications: either on-land (full scale) or on-board an experimental 3200 GT vessel

My organisation

The Sustainable Energy Catapult Center is a driving force for the green transition and the transition to more climate and environmentally friendly energy sources. We help your company develop and test sustainable solutions for producing, storing, distributing and managing energy – from prototype development and testing in laboratory environments to finished products that need to be tested in operational facilities on land, on ships and in marine environments. We provide the expertise and test facilities you need to give your solution the shortest route from idea to market. We also help you apply for project funding from relevant funding programs. Sustainable Energy was established in 2018 and then gained status as one of five Norwegian Catapult Centers. Our main office is located in Stord, close to many pioneering companies in the field of maritime environmental technologies in Western Norway. We provide access to test facilities in these key areas (due to the national requirements we can only participate in Call Module 1 and 4 - DC technologies and CCS): .Floating offshore wind (access to an operational floating wind turbine) .Future fuels and energy systems for the maritime sector .Hydrogen production and technologies .Carbon capture, storage and usage .Smart energy systems .Floating solar systems

We provide access to world-leading test-infrastructure for testing of green maritime energy-applications, in particular with hydrogen, ammonia or other new fuels. In our EnergyHouse you test your full-scale maritime green-energy technology against real-life components without the ressource-consuming integration into a ship. We also offer unparalleled access to a 3,200 GT research vessel, equipped with ample space for cutting-edge technology. Here, your applications can face the ultimate challenge: real-world testing under the formidable and unpredictable conditions of the North Sea. This is where theory meets reality, and your innovations prove their worth.
