I specialize in macroeconomic analysis of energy transition and decarbonization, focusing on fairness, and collaborative decision-making in energy communities.
My professional interests include macroeconomic analysis of energy transition pathways, decarbonization, and sustainability policies and measures. I am particularly interested in the fairness-related aspects of the transition and its impact on different segments of the population. Moreover, I am interested in methods to link top-down macroeconomic models to bottom-up models (typically energy system models). Finally, I am interested in the analysis of coordination schemes and incentives for collaborative decision-making, with application on collaborative service provision and the management of planning and operations of energy communities.
Background
M.Sc. in Economics from University of Bologna in 2005. Thesis title: Theoretical and Practical Aspects of Corporate Debt Valuation.
Ph.D. in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from NTNU, Trondheim, in 2012. Thesis supervisor was Professor Alexei A. Gaivoronski. The thesis was entitled Methods for Evaluation of Business Models for Provision of Advanced Mobile Services under Uncertainty.
