Started university in 1983, graduated in 1987. MSc was completed in 1990 and PhD in 1994(at Reading University-UK). Became Professor in 2005 at Akdeniz University. Resigned in 2007 and established his own company in 2007 installing high-tech hydroponic greenhouses in and out of Türkiye and supplying greenhouse materials. Returned back to Akdeniz University in 2014. Mainly working on greenhouse related technologies and issues. Recently, completed a 6 month sabbatical leave at Lincoln University as a guest researcher.

The department is specializing in Agricultural Machinery and Technology Engineering.
