ACCOMMODATION

There are several hotels near the conference venue, the city center, the harbour, the shopping streets, and the beach. The conference will take place in the SIMAC building, which is a 5-minute walk from the train station, the shopping streets, and most of the hotels.

TRANSPORT

GETTING TO SVENDBORG BY PLANE

The two main airports in Denmark are Billund and Copenhagen, but you can also fly to Aalborg or Odense.

  • From Copenhagen Airport: Take the train to Nyborg or Odense, and then take the train or bus to Svendborg

  • From Billund Airport: Take a bus to Odense, and then take the train to Svendborg.

TO RESERVE TRAIN TICKETS :

You can book your train tickets in advance via the website**:** https://www.dsb.dk/en/ - if you travel from Copenhagen airport, the train station in the airport is "CPH Lufthavn", then the train stop in Svendborg city is "Svendborg St."

LOCAL/REGIONAL BUSES

Note that the bus from Billund to Odense may have multiple stops, so it may take longer than the train.

IF YOU COME BY CAR

You can drive directly to Svendborg. There is a free bridge from the west side and a toll bridge from the east side. You can pay the toll directly at the bridge.

BUS TRANSFERS IN SVENDBORG:

Some additional transfers by bus are organized by the Municipality of Svendborg from Hotel Svendborg and Hotel Christiansminde to the event venue as follows. 50 seat buses will leave on-time on the first-come first-served basis.

30.05.2024:

  • 1 bus from Hotel Svendborg to SIMAC at 08h20

  • 1 bus from Hotel Christiansminde to SIMAC at 08h20

31.05.2024:

  • 1 bus from Hotel Svendborg to SIMAC at 08h30

  • 1 bus from Hotel Christiansminde to SIMAC at 08h30

  • 1 bus from SIMAC to the train station Svendborg St. at 17h45.
