About me
Stefano Barbieri is a Senior Policy Analyst at the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities in Paris. He has over 20 years of experience at the OECD, focusing on rural and regional development. In addition to his work at the OECD, he served as Head of the Decentralised Cooperation Service at IPI, under Italy’s Ministry for Economic Development, and was European Unions' Pre-Accession Adviser and Team Leader in two major "Phare" Programmes in Hungary and the Czech Republic. He also worked as Project Manager at the Italian Ministry of the Economy. Stefano holds a degree in Political Sciences (Int) from the University of Pavia (Italy) and an MSc in European Studies (Econ) from the London School of Economics (UK).
