ISTINYE UNIVERSITY
Istanbul, Türkiye
Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences (FEASS) and a Professor of Management Information Systems (MIS) at Istinye University.
My expertise bridges the fields of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and business analytics, with a strong focus on data-driven strategies, big data analytics, and enterprise digitalization.
In addition to my academic and industry work, I am a retired senior military officer, with operational experience in border security and counter-terrorism. I served as a Border Security Unit Commander on the Syrian border for two years, and also completed active deployments in Afghanistan, where I was involved in high-level coordination of security operations in conflict zones.
This unique combination of technology expertise and field-level command experience enables me to develop and advocate for AI-powered dual-use security solutions that are both strategic and operationally effective—particularly in areas such as surveillance systems, border protection, counter-terror strategies, and situational awareness platforms.
I am particularly interested in contributing to defense and homeland security innovation by bridging mission-critical needs with emerging technologies.
