Specialist producer of premium quality katsuobushi (smoked and dried skipjack tuna) based in Concarneau, Brittany, France and established in 2014, our products are recognised and distinguished by Japanese and European chefs and grocery stores across the EU. Essential for making dashi (soup stock) and also used as a topping, we are proud of the quality of our products which our small team of 5 artisans produce at our site in France and we wish to make our products available to discerning chefs and others consumers.

About me

Managing Director of Makurazaki France Katsuobushi since 2014 and based in Concarneau, France, I was in charge of establising an innovative new production unit in France and am at present responsible for running our production and sales of katsuobushi (smoked and dried skipjack tuna) across EU and other countries. I have worked in the UK and Japan prior to my present position.
