Ali Ghaouti

Ali occupied several management positions in sales, marketing, strategy and business development among multinational companies. Prior to Astronergy (part of the CHINT Group) where he acts as Head of European Distributed Generation, he served as Head of Sales EMEA for Distributed Solar BU at Trina Solar focusing on storage solutions and as Global Director Solar at Siemens Energy. Before that he was the Vice President Sales and Business Development at Ideematec GmbH, a global leader of solar PV trackers.

Ali also held a senior leadership position at First Solar Inc., the largest thin-film solar PV module manufacturer and O&M service provider globally acting as Head of Business Development for the Eastern Europe, Africa & Turkey Regions.

During all those years, Ali has successfully delivered several gigawatts of distributed solar for the C&I sector and utility-scale power plants, serving as both co-developer and technology provider.

Initially, Ali started at SolarWorld AG as their Head of Sales for Middle East and North Africa Region focusing on C&I markets mainly selling products and integrated solutions to distributors, EPCs and installers.

During all those years in the solar industry, Ali acquired extensive expertise in all steps of the value chain and a solid industry network. With that, also spanning international corporate management, strategy, sales, marketing and business development for renewable and sustainable energy markets.

Ali graduated from a top french engineering school ESIEA Paris and holds a Master in Renewable Energy obtained at Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble as well as a Master in Marketing and Energy Management at Grenoble Graduate School of Business.
