V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is one of the oldest public HEIs in Eastern Europe, with a 220-year history. Today, the University has one of the largest university campuses in Ukraine with 23 Schools and Educational and Research Institutes that train specialists in over 200 majors, covering the whole range of modern classic university education. At the moment KKNU has over 17000 students, 1200 of them are international students from 31 countries. About 400 Full Professors, over 1500 Assoc. Professors and PhDs work in KKNU. It is ranked among the top HEIs in Ukraine (#741-750) and has retained the leading position among UA universities for the last 10 years in a row.
Despite the ongoing war in Ukraine, the university has not been displaced and continues all its activities still being based in the city of Kharkiv with university administration and all departments working from Kharkiv.
Its Internalisation strategy is based on the University Strategic Objectives and Solutions Until 2030, which defines priority areas of the University activities for further advanced integration into the international scientific and educational space. At the moment, the university cooperates with over 230 foreign and national institutions with partners from over 50 countries, including 17 EU countries.
The Education and Research Institute of Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligence of Karazin University has over 23 years of experience. It has a team of professionals in data analysis, AI, cyber defense, blockchain technologies, engineering and support of intelligent embedded systems and computer models of production processes. The main activity is the training of more than 5,000 specialists in the field of science-intensive high-tech information technologies. It has experience in the successful implementation of projects related to computer control and information security, modern information systems, process modeling and management, development and operation of computer control systems for structural communication and radio-electronic complexes and development of modern cybersecurity systems.
Prof. Dr. Vitalina Babenko is a Professor (Full) of the Mathematical Modeling and Data Analysis Department of Education and Scientific Institute "Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence", V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (Ukraine), Dr. Sci. (habil.) in Economics, Ph.D. in Computer Sciences. She is an Ukrainian National Contact Point of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, an Expert of the HORIZON-MSCA, M-ERA.NET, an Expert of the Leibniz Competition (Germany), a Member of the Doctoral Academic Councils in Economics, an Expert of the Ministry of Education, the Ukrainian Institute of Scientific-Technical Information, and other national and international scientific associations. She has published around 370 papers in peer-reviewed journals and participated in more than 100 conferences. She is the Editor-in-Chief and member of the editorial board of 17 scientific journals.
Her sphere of scientific interests includes the management of innovation processes, economic-mathematical modeling, information systems and technologies. She specializes in dynamic optimization of managerial processes and statistical modeling.
