Impact Foresight - Fostering Anticipation for the Common Good

The future can take as many shapes and forms as there are people willing to define it. It depends on investments and choices that are made now. Despite the long-term and entangled nature of our present challenges, many organisations and leaders with the power to address them are geared towards “there-is-no-alternative” thinking. Anticipation and futures thinking can play a role in offering fresh perspectives, imagining alternative pathways and creating images of hope and better futures. Anticipation for the common good is not yet a reality. This interactive workshop will provide ground for practical discussion on how to align vision, strategies and actions with the evolving demands of our times. These insights will be based on the publication “Futures Philanthropy: Anticipation for the Common Good” by Philea - Philanthropy Europe Association and the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies.
