Founded in 2019, Superbiotics' mission is to develop innovative technologies and to produce and formulate microbiotic solutions comprising live strains of probiotics. The company also aims to develop and patent processes or strains that have demonstrated a significant impact on human and animal health through the study of in vitro and ex vivo models, as well as in vivo models in animals and humans. The identification of new physiological functionalities will enable the formulation of high added-value compounds.

About me

France Fannes holds a master’s degree in biomedical sciences from the Free University of Brussels (ULB) and has been working for more than 25 years in the field of innovative technologies related to human and animal health. She started her career as an academic researcher in virology at ULB, then joined Biolab for 10 years, specialized in biomedical diagnostics. As founder, she then set up BIO ART, specialized in the development and manufacturing of diagnostic kits. From 2010 to 2014, France was the Managing Director of BIOWIN, the innovation cluster of health in Wallonia. She joined Vésale Pharma in 2016 and Superbiotics in November 2024. She also provided her expertise from 2021 to 2023 to the company Vésale BioScience. She is currently Director of Public Funding and Research Contracting by Superbiotics in charge of the design and management of basic and applied research projects gathering industrial and academic partners.
