Infrared Optical Grain-by-Grain Sorter: A Post-Harvest Tool for Developing More Viable Food Supply Chains
With each harvest, some grains cannot be used for food due to deviations in technological or sanitary quality. This issue is even more critical in low-intensity and organic production systems. Infrared optical grain-by-grain sorting is a post-harvest solution to prevent batch downgrading and support the economic growth of food grain supply chains. Additionally, this sorting technology can be used for real-time high-throughput quality control, in-depth batch quality characterization, and better contaminant management.
