Bimrew Tamrat Admasu

I am Bimrew Tamrat having PhD degree (Associate Professor) in Mechanical Engineering (Thermal and Energy specialist) teaching a variety of thermal and energy courses at Bahir Dar University. I served as a faculty member at the Bahir Dar Institute of Technology, within the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, and the Bahir Dar Energy Center.

As a research advisor, I have guided two Doctoral students to completion and is currently mentoring eight more PhD students. Additionally, I have overseen the successful completion of over 20 master's degrees in Thermal Engineering and Sustainable Energy Engineering.

 I had been working in different factories for more than three years and was an academic staff at Debre Markos University, Ethiopia from 2008 to 2018. Besides, when I was at Debre Markos University, I worked as Dean of the College of Technology for more than six years and Vice Dean for Research and Community Service for six months. Similarly, I had worked as a Scientific Director and Managing Director of Bahir Dar Institute of Technology for more than four and half years. I graduated from Jimma University with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2002 and an MSc degree from Addis Ababa University, Addis Ababa Institute of Technology, in Thermal Engineering in 2008; I hold a Ph.D. degree in Thermal Engineering and Energy Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, in 2014. I have published more than 45 publications in International Journals and International Conferences. I have executed different external funded projects.
