Matching Mission in Poland

The event will be held at the Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies (CEZAMAT), except for the programmed visits to local companies. Its address is: CEZAMAT, Poleczki 19, 02-822 WARSAW.

We strongly encourage participants to arrive in Warsaw on the evening of October 20th at the latest for a prompt start the following day.

CEZAMAT is very close to the main international airport: Warsaw Chopin (WAW), where all major airlines fly to.  

Pay attention to the fact that there are 2 other airports with the Warsaw denomination: Warsaw Modlin and Warsaw Radom. The first is ~40 km away from the city, and the second ~100 km. 

Warsaw Chopin is well connected to the city centre by a network of buses and trains.

Warsaw Chopin Airport, CEZAMAT and the city centre are all in zone 1 of the public transport map. 

Public transport tickets can be bought at ticket machines. One can purchase time-based tickets (for 20, 75, or 90 min) or short-term tickets (1 day or 3 days). The short-term tickets are 15 zł and 36 zł, respectively.  They must be validated upon entering the bus or the metro station. 

From the Airport to CEZAMAT: 

• Bus 148, direction Wiatraczna, until the stop Poloneza 01 (duration ~10 min, every 20 min in the evening and every 30 min until midnight)

• Or  Bus 331, direction Metro Wilanowska, until the stop Poloneza 01 (duration ~15 min)

From CEZAMAT to the Airport: 

• Bus 148 or 331 from the stop Poloneza 02, direction Terminal Autokarowy

From CEZAMAT to the city center: 

• Bus 148, direction Wiatraczna, until the stop Metro Imielin 01

• Or Bus 331, direction Metro Wilanowska, until stop Wilanowska 02

Then Metro M1, direction Młociny, until stop Centrum

Poland is part of the Schengen area, but not of the Eurozone. The Polish currency is the złoty (zł, PLN) with 10 zł ~ 2.35 € (as of 20.08.2025).
