Circularise builds an enterprise-level portal communicating the information that is critical for closing circular loops, for example, all material data, production and origin information even if the supply chain is unknown to the original equipment manufacturer. Circularise is a service that certifies product characteristics, like the use of recycled, organic, sustainably-sourced or -produced materials at any stage of the production process. Providing auditable proof of such quality criteria in a cheap way while protecting data creates business models for sustainably acting companies on the one hand and more sustainable products and circularity in our economy on the other hand. The decentralised information storage and communication protocol employs a combination of blockchain, peer-to- peer technology and cryptographic techniques like Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs). The goal is to allow information exchange between participants in value chains while allowing them to remain anonymous and fine-tune the amount of information they want to disclose, and who can access it.
