The Resilient Soldier - Healthcare & Medical Countermeasures for the Defence Sector
The European Commission in cooperation with CenSec (Centre for Defence, Space and Security and Danish Life Science Cluster) organizes a European conference in Aalborg, Denmark.
This European Conference is meant to create awareness, and foster innovation, collaboration and synergies between the military and the healthcare sectors.

What is Europe’s vision for health and defence in an era of new threats. Is it possible to find a unified European front?

Before the battle: Strengthening the Resilient Soldier through preventive healthcare. The critical role of preventive healthcare in preparing soldiers for the challenges of war and enhancing their resilience.

During the battle: Medical Countermeasures. This theme explores the many ways various devices, biologics or drugs may be used as medical countermeasures in wartime scenarios or on the battlefield.

After the battle: Treatment and recovery of wounded soldiers.
The conference also includes keynote speakers from both government and industry, networking dinner, B2B opportunities and an exhibition area.
The event is organised in the framework of the European Network of Defence Regions (ENDR), managed by the European Commission's DG DEFIS. The conference will contribute to the ENDR objective of bringing together regional authorities and clusters to share experiences and best practices in developing defence-related strategies and accessing EU funding, in particular for the benefit of SMEs.
