Biova Project
Biova Project is an innovative Italian SME specializing in upcycled foods. It is a Benefit Corporation and B Corp certified, founded in 2019 by Franco Dipietro and Emanuela Barbano.
Biova Project recovers unsold food and transforms it into new products, creating value from what would otherwise become waste. The first product launched on the market is a craft beer made from recovered bread. Today, Biova develops and sells high-quality Italian food and beverage products made with upcycled ingredients. Its products are available in prestigious locations such as IKEA restaurants, Hilton hotels, and Carrefour supermarkets, contributing to turning food waste into new revenue opportunities.

Emanuela Barbano
Emanuela Barbano is the President and co-founder of Biova Project. After graduating in Economics and Business, she pursued a career in international advertising, enriched by an international volunteering experience. She discovered her entrepreneurial vocation through a deep passion for social work. She is also a partner of Duel Film, a production company specializing in social content and independent documentaries. In 2015, she founded Equoevento Torino Onlus, a non-profit organization dedicated to recovering food surpluses from events.

Franco Dipietro
Franco Dipietro is the CEO and co-founder of Biova Project. He holds degrees in Engineering and Storytelling and has built a career in international advertising. He is the founder of Duel Film, a production company specializing in social content and independent documentaries. In 2015, he joined Equoevento Torino Onlus as a volunteer, a non-profit organization committed to recovering food surpluses from events.

Biova Project was born from the union of their experiences, creating a company that combines circular economy and innovation to craft sustainable and delicious products, transforming food waste into new opportunities for economic and social growth.
