Barolo DOCG San Giacomo
About
San Giacomo is a small hamlet in La Morra, on the western side; it's where you can find our family home and winery and it's also a really tiny single vineyard of which we are the only Barolo producer. Our great grandfather planted this plot in 1962 and the first vintage made was 1967. The 62 years old vines have small yields with great quality. This Barolo is aged in french oak but his peculiarity is that the first year we use 500-600 litres barrel while the second one we put it in a big one. A classic example of elegance and balance. Ripe fruit, balsamic, floreal; firm high quality tannins in the palate with always a lively acidity to keep it fresh. A complete different style compared to our Barolo Bussia.
Total production: 2900 bottles
