Service-Point Ukraine - Capacity-Building for Community Aggregators in the Diaspora

About

The Russian full-scale invasion has triggered voluntary engagement by individuals and groups who have come together in diverse organisational forms, from interest groups to advocacy organizations (e.g., "Promote Ukraine" in Brussels, Vitshe in Berlin). There exist numerous other Ukrainian migrant organisations whose members are eager to assist their homeland, and to become active for their co-nationals who became refugees in terms of integration-related assistance. Such initiatives often exist in parallel of, and remain unnoticed by, local administrations and host country NGOs and social entrepreneurs. "Service Point Ukraine" aims at creating transnational platforms for multi-stakeholder cooperation to explore common interests, potential for cooperation and goals for the future between Ukrainian diaspora organisations and host country structures. It would do this based on a needs assessment/study of CSOs' main challenges and determinants of future action, the building of capacity with a focus on project management and organisation, and networking events with host country CSOs, local administrations and other relevant stakeholders. The main idea is to use the potential and engagement of Ukrainians abroad to assist their homeland and its people by giving them the possibility to do so in a conceptually sound way, supported by the necessary knowledge and resources.
